The Burdette Group directed the first ever state-wide accreditation process for the West Virginia Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus which has been endorsed by the West Virginia Tourism Commission.  The Burdette Group was also asked to conduct an industry analysis for research and review.

The Burdette Group became the state’s first independent contractor to provide management services to a development authority in the fall of 2004. In less than eight months they restructured the operation of the Area Roundtable, ending over five years of operating deficits. Since then they have increased their reserves and expanded their membership. Maybe most important is their retention, expansion and recruitment work with a wide variety of businesses. That work includes a whose who of West Virginia’s corporate leaders including Coldwater Creek, Mountain State Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Enviro Tech and Hino Motors.
